For North Shore parents

A new driver.
A familiar face.
A calmer start.

Meet the person teaching your new driver to drive. Ray takes time to explain, welcomes questions, and helps your learner build confidence one skill at a time.

A simple first conversation about your learner and the next useful step.

Practice. Understanding. Confidence.

Ready is something
we build together.

A personal choice for your family

Five reasons to
learn with Ray.

Choose the person, the teaching approach, and the support that fit your learner.

01

A familiar person beside your learner.

Ray is the instructor at the heart of this school. The relationship begins with understanding the learner and what they want to work on.

Meet Ray in his own words and ask about the lesson plan.
02

Confidence grows through encouragement.

Ray uses conversation, humour, and a welcoming approach to help learners feel comfortable enough to ask and practise.

Being nervous is normal. Confidence is what we build together.
03

They understand why, not just what.

He asks “What do you think?” and explains the reason behind the action. The aim is independent judgment that lasts beyond the test.

A useful question can help a learner recognize what they already understand.
04

Practice follows the skill they need.

A learner working on right turns gets repeated practice on right turns. Ray described this approach directly in our conversations.

Longer lessons give more room for repetition. One-hour sessions provide another focused path.
05

Support carries through the test journey.

Both lesson paths include road-test support. The established longer package also carries Ray’s Licence Guarantee: a one-hour lesson between unsuccessful attempts and return test-day support without extra Ray charges until they pass.

Read the applicable package scope, ICBC fee responsibility, and agreed conditions before choosing.

These reasons come from Ray's teaching experience and our discovery conversations. Approved student and parent stories will add first-hand evidence.

A choice that makes sense

Before you ask

A few parent
questions.

Does my new driver need experience first?

Tell Ray what practice they have had. He can discuss the next suitable step. Being nervous is normal. Confidence is what Ray helps them build.

How can I help between lessons?

Ask Ray what practice would help your learner. Discuss any progress updates with Ray and your new driver rather than assuming a particular reporting service is included.

Is my area covered?

North Shore lessons are the focus. Include your pickup area in the enquiry so Ray can confirm the travel arrangements and availability.

What will happen after I send my question?

Your question and lesson choice are saved in a private enquiry inbox. You receive a reference number on screen. This starts an enquiry; an appointment is confirmed separately. You can also call Ray using the number on this page.

Let's start with your learner

You can
ask Ray.

Where are they now? What would help them feel more ready? A short question is a good place to begin.

Tell Ray about your new driver using the short enquiry form.

Your details.
A clear purpose.

Your enquiry includes your name, email, pickup area, learner stage, lesson choice, question, and the page or campaign that brought you here. It is saved in a private review inbox so your request can be followed up. Please share only what is needed for your driving lesson question.

This concept is currently private. Access to the enquiry inbox is restricted to the site owner. Ray's own access and email alerts must be connected before a public campaign begins.

Optional anonymous measurement is off by default. If you allow it, the site counts page views, lesson selections, form starts, and booking-calendar clicks. These events contain no form entries, email, IP address, or visitor identifier. Counts are interactions, not unique people.

Your choice can be changed here at any time. Essential form delivery works either way. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Ray's existing booking calendar is a separate service. A final retention and privacy policy is a public-launch task.

Clear details before you choose.
